Mother's Day Tea

All of the classes paired up and presented a Mother's Day singing presentation followed by some punch and cookies.  The girls' teachers paired up which was perfect for me as I got to see them both in the same show.  As a treat the kids got to dress up in their Sunday Best.  The performance was surprisingly great!

 Waiting for the school bus

Both classes singing - Audrey is on the front row to the left and Brooke is on the back row just to the right of the middle.

 The white sweater crew!
With Brooke's classroom BFF Cullen.  Though I am not sure what is up with her fake smile.
Me with my girls!

And the best gifts ever - the girls' responses to questions about me.  Seems like they know me pretty well.  Though to paraphrase my friend Stacy, the only news I watch is from TMZ.

Cinco de Mayo

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year we did a progressive dinner with some of our neighbors.  It was super fun and super delicious!

House 1: Pin the Tail on the Donkey
House 1: Margaritas and appetizers (legal disclaimer: A did not drink that margarita!!)

House 2 (our house) Main course - build your own burritos with rice and beans.  And a photo shoot with peppers!

House 3: Dessert and some crazy mustache fun!

House 3: Pinata....Lonny was the tallest and he had to stand and hold the pinata.  Though we did not blindfold the kids!
And totally unrelated to Cinco de Mayo, a little sparkler fun (though really the whole evening was questionable in its authenticity as it was)

Face Painting and Love Bugs

A few weekends ago our city had a Relay for Life event.  I cooked some cookies for our church booth.  Other than that, we just went for some food and fun.  I bought some tickets and let the girls use them however they wanted.  So of course they went on the jumpy castles, bought some disco ball necklaces, some sweet treats, and always the face painting!

Here recently the area has been infested by love bugs.  Which the girls LOVE.  They get so excited about seeing them and catching them.  And they will not let me kill them.

Working hard at catching the love bugs.....
until Audrey gets distracted by her burgeoning modeling career.
